Munchkin Loves It
We really enjoyed reading the book and loved the photos of Awesome Louie. Awesome Louie has gained yet another fan along the way!
Munchkin the Persian has his own personal question that needs to be addressed by Awesome Louie.
Dear Awesome Louie,
Mimi the Poodle always lick my face after messing with my litter box. I’m flattered by all the kisses she gives me but I gotta tell you that her breath is really stinky. How can I tell her that I don’t like her kisses without hurting her feelings?

Charvis (Tjorvis) May 22, 2005 – September 12, 2014
Charvis was a cute orange tabby. He lived in a lovely estate in Sweden with his human parents and 6 other fluffy cats. His favorite pastime was hanging out in the field with his siblings and hunting mice.
Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Melanoma cancer in his right eye last year. The Vet gave his parents two choices; euthanasia or surgery. Hoping for the best, his parents chose surgery. The Vet removed his right eye. Rehabilitating him took some time but Charvis somehow got used to his situation.
Just a few days ago, Magnus Fahlen (Charvis’ dad) took him to the Vet to have him examined coz he hasn’t been feeling well. Just as they feared, his condition has worsened. His tumors have spread all over and there’s nothing left they can do to make him better. He had lost his ability to eat properly and they fear that he might starve to death.
With a heavy heart, his parents decided to finally let him go. RIP Tjorvis….you will be greatly missed.
Losing a pet is pretty much like losing a family member. We would like to offer our deepest sympathy to the Fahlen family.
We would like to share this poem that got us through when we lost our very own Catherine.
Beyond the Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that’s trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful — lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I’m alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
‘Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we’re never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.
One can only hope that when it’s our time to go, our departed pets will be there to greet us on the other side. How wonderful would it be? To see them once again…in heaven.
Cats Love Murder
Is Fluffy the Cat a stone-cold serial killer?
They can do no wrong! They are our super cuddly bundle of joy. Their soft meows and therapeutic purring makes us so happy and content. But what if your precious cat turns out to be a stone-cold serial killer when she/he is outside?
According to a new study published by The Journal Nature Communication, domestic cats slaughter billions of birds and small mammals in the US each year. That little ball of fur that we love so much is a natural born killer. Hard to imagine right? But yes, fluffy has a secret life outdoors. They are the “Dexter” of fluffy kingdom.
There is a huge price that we are paying for every single day that we let our cats outside and it can have a huge negative impact in our environment in the long run. The only way to prevent them from killing other animals is to keep them entertained indoors.
Most pet owners are worried about keeping their cats happy when kept indoors. While hunting prey outside is fun, it is a myth that it is a requirement for your feline’s happiness. By providing a screened porch for your cat to hang out and observe the little critters passing by, you are giving your cat an outdoor experience without the risk. You can also provide your cat several cat furnitures and toys to keep them entertained indoors. You can also try training your cat to walk on a leash. It will take time and patience but walking your cat can be a rewarding experience.
